West Juliett in Marrickville was recommended by a friend, she insisted and insisted that I try it for breakfast. When we finally got around to going together, I was a little nervous as she'd talked-it-up for so long, but I am happy to report that I have been back three times already!
I went back with Dave one morning and enjoyed the poached eggs, avocado, feta, parsley, cress, lemon, dukkah on toast (for the third time straight!), while Dave opted for something a little sweeter; french toast, ricotta, roasted rhubarb and salted caramel (beware - this dish is not for that faint hearted, very sweet, but delicious!).
The interior is modern and fresh with clean white walls, timber tables and black wooden chairs. It has an open plan so you can see the chefs busy at work, producing gorgeous meals, baking fresh cookies and making homemade jams to be sold at the front counter.
If your in the area this place is a must, enjoy!
NB: These guys are not open on Sundays!
