Apricot and berry galettes
With our next Detail Diners event coming up very soon, Maddy and I are starting to select and practise our menu. It's a tough job cooking then tasting I know, but someone has to do it! I have been looking for a reason to try and make a Galette for a long time, I've always loved the look of them!
All I did was cut shortcrust pastry into a circle, covered it in a thin layer of jam, then piled the apricots, blackberries and blueberries in the middle. I then folded the sides up to create the pastry frame, before popping my two Galettes in the oven to bake for about 25 minutes. This simple and impressive dessert may just make the cut for our next Detail Diners event, but you will have to stay tuned to find out! x
